At United Congregations of Metro East, we are committed to fighting for transformative justice reform environmental justice, and opposing environmental racism. Our team is dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for policies that protect our communities and create a healthier future for all.

Healing Justice

UCM will continue in fighting for educational equity in the Metro-East by addressing the teacher shortages and racial diversity in our school districts

Transformative Justice Reform

UCM is pushing city ordinances to enforce local and state laws for liquor stores in East St. Louis who engage in illegal activities and sales that promote food deserts, substance abuse, and increased criminal activity.

Environmental Justice

UCM Environmental Task Force is addressing issues with the condition of the air in St. Clair and Madison Counties.

UCM works to increase the number of voters that lead to policy changes that affect their communities
