A taskforce is a focused working group formed to address a specific issue or goal. It brings together staff, community leaders, and stakeholders to discuss, plan, and coordinate actions around a defined area of work.
In our case, the taskforce serves as a space to:
Assess community needs and priorities
Develop strategies and plans aligned with our mission
Coordinate outreach and engagement efforts
Share information, resources, and best practices
Support ongoing work through collaboration and accountability
Taskforces are action-oriented and time-bound, helping ensure efforts are intentional, organized, and effective while remaining aligned with our values and responsibilities as a nonprofit organization.

We are not a political organization, and we do not support or oppose any political party, candidate, or campaign.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our work is strictly nonpartisan and focused on civic engagement, not electoral politics. The Integrated Voter Engagement (IVE) Taskforce exists to educate, empower, and engage community members around participation in our democratic process, such as voter education, issue awareness, and turnout, without telling anyone how or for whom to vote.
Our efforts, including activities like canvassing and phone banking, are designed to:
Encourage informed and active civic participation
Ensure community voices are heard
Advocate for policies and values that align with our mission, not parties or candidates
All activities are conducted in compliance with IRS guidelines for 501(c)(3) organizations. Our goal is to strengthen democracy by helping people engage thoughtfully and responsibly, while remaining fully nonpartisan and mission-driven.
Dear Democracy… Let’s Talk
A dedicated space for students to openly discuss politics, democracy, and the issues shaping their lives today.
Dear Democracy…Let’s Talk was created to provide young people with a space to express their perspectives, challenge ideas, and engage meaningfully with democracy. The goal of Dear Democracy…Let’s talk is not to win debates, but to build understanding, encourage civic engagement, and amplify youth voices in democracy.
-
A dedicated space where the younger population feels heard and valued. A place where they feel comfortable expressing strong opinions, frustrations, and questions during such an important moment in our political climate.

Community Voting Captains lead campus-based voter engagement initiatives aimed at increasing youth participation in the democratic process. In this role, captains coordinate voter registration drives, organize voter education efforts, and mobilize students during key election periods. They supervise teams of student volunteers, manage outreach activities, and help implement large-scale Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaigns. Through leadership, organization, and peer engagement, Community Voting Captains play a critical role in empowering students to become active and informed participants in elections.
