The Human Impact of Injustice in Our Communities
EVERYBODY IN. NOBODY OUT!
This is the chant that resounded on Friday, Jan 30. What started in solidarity with our Minnesota affiliates turned into a call to action with a sense of urgency for our community. UCM gathered with some of our trusted partners and voiced our concern with the inhumane treatments that have been linked to ICE, calling for the community to come together. The unity not only shows solidarity and community resilience, but also gives a voice to the pain and hopelessness that some of us feel.
Leaders took to the stage to bring different perspectives: how are these injustices effecting our youth, our politics, our daily lives. While each may have come from a different angle, they were all linked together for a complete picture of what it looks like when leadership stops being silent and uses their voices to power their communities.
