Ad Book Campaign An Investment in UCM is an Investment in Your Community by Matt Matheny
UCM is excited to begin its annual ad book campaign. The Ad Book will be incorporated into the Report to the Community for the Public Action Rally on October 16th. As in the past, we are selling advertisements to local businesses, individuals, and organizations. Ads start at $50 and go up to $400. This is one of our major fundraisers for the year, supplying 25% of our operating budget. We appreciate any support! Be on the lookout for the ad book on our website, www.ucmetroeast.org as we update our web presence. For more information, please contact the UCM office:(618) 451-1458 or ucmetroeast@gmail.com.
FUNDING ISSUES To date, UCM has clearly benefited from the generous support of national and faith-based funding organizations, like the Catholic Campaign for Development, the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, the Presbyterian Church and the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Several of these organizations have invested in the early stages of our growth, with an explicit interest in helping us develop the capacity to sponsor effective social change in local communities. We are grateful for their support and we plan to continue a relationship with these benefactors.
Our major financial supporters to date have indicated their willingness to consider future funding. However, there comes a time in the life cycle of an organization when its founders and leaders must develop sustaining revenue sources to support the mission. The best source of financial support for our important work will ultimately be caring and committed people of the region.
To secure our future, we have begun to reach out to local donors –individuals, small businesses, professionals as well as larger corporations - with a request to support the work of UCM. We know that we face the potential for significant growth in the size of our organization, as well as the complexity of the objectives and projects we pursue.
